Moto G 3rd Generation Review

Motorola launched its next flag ship mobile Moto G 3rd generation with in the price range of 12000 - 13000. Lets see what it offers.

Display and Design:
Motorola has gone with the same 5-inch HD display that was seen on the Moto G (2nd generation) along with the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The display looks decently well and it doesn't disappoint you much.

This time Motorola concentrated bit more on design with some premium elements like the metal frame and a vertical metallic strip at the back. But the goodness doesn't end here as the new device comes with IPx7 compatibility, making it water-proof, and letting it survive in up to three feet of water for up to 30 minutes

Hardware config's:
This was one area where were looking for some major upgrade, but Motorola has bumped up the chipset from Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 on the Moto G (2nd gen) to Snapdragon 410 which has a 1.4GHz quad-core processor, Adreno 306GPU and this comes paired with either 1GB RAM (for 8GB storage variant) or 2GB RAM (for 16GB storage variant).

It has v5.1.1 (Lollipop) operating system, preloaded with some signature apps like Moto Display, Quick Capture etc.

The Moto G 3rd gen is a dual-SIM phone and supports 4G SIM cards as well. It supports Wi-fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS along with the regular set of sensors such as accelerometer and proximity sensor.

Camera :
with a 13MP rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture and a 5MP front camera which was good enough for a budget phone at the time. Apart from boosting the megapixel count the phone comes with a dual-tone LED flash unit. The focus and exposure ring adjustments have also got a boost once you turn on the camera

Pro's :
The phone is a 5", which is a perfect fit not a bit more or less for a stylish phone
Butter smooth touch screen
13 MP main and 5 MP front camera
Water resistant
Less heating issues unlike other  recent phones released in this phone range.
4G connectivity

Con's :
It just doesn’t have the battery of a flagship device, but that’s expected at its price range.
Headphones given are not of good quality but that is expected due to phones price.
Motorola also, left out few key features like NFC, faster charging, wireless charging, and a higher resolution screen.
