STRINGING IMAGES – Anand Agarwala Can an image come alive?

Gadgets these days are getting more and more user friendly with time and have become the life source of people. It has become so integral to us that the concept of pen and paper has almost gone obsolete. Products have gone from being physical to virtual. Even artists have gone on to taking up virtual art. Leaving the real world in order to create a 3D virtual world is what is on most people's minds. The world (or at least a version of it) is at your fingertips.

Leading on from this current trend is Anand Agarwala, who shot to recognition with BumpTop, an innovative 3D desktop user interface powered by physics and multi-touch gestures. Started of as a thesis project for his Masters, it was later acquired by Google after a lot of competition. Fueled by the success of his first product, Anand has now created String, the latest 3D user interface technology. It allows the user to manipulate not just inanimate objects but characters too, and it can also be used as a 3D drawing tool. A landmark in the area of 3D imaging, String shows that if people put their minds to it, anything can come alive

Humility is a quality that everyone should imbibe because most failures in life are caused due to the clash of egos. Just because you have one success, doesn't make you the king of this world or are above everyone else. Even the most powerful of men faced failure at some point in their lives. Not everyone becomes an overnight success and even if you do, it doesn't make you a big deal. What people must realize is that one success doesn't mean you're done. Keep moving and keep learning!
